Until 2000 this was also part of its name – Institute of Geodesy and Photogrammetry (IGF).
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]

The Institute follows the development of remote sensing, which includes beside aerial and terrestrial photogrammetry also laser scanning and the use of satellite images. From the aerial photographs of cyclical aerial survey of Slovenia (CAS) we produce and maintain topographic maps of different scales, prepare technical conditions for the implementation of CAS and control the quality of implementation. From aerial photographs we produce orthophoto, digital relief and surface model, 3D models of villages and towns and acquire all types of 3D vector data.

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]

By using terrestrial photogrammetry we have produced numerous 3D models of cultural monuments for the needs of the maintenance and reconstruction of cultural heritage objects. We have also developed a method of photogrammetric mapping of traffic accidents. For the laser scanning of Slovenia we prepared technical conditions and controlled the quality of processes. The most important of them are classification of georeferenced point cloud, converging ellipsoid height into altitudes and control of height and plane precision of the digital relief model (DMR).

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]

We are skilled for data processing from laser scanning and for the preparation of many different products.
